The Bone Season Wiki

The timeline of the Bone Season series dates back many centuries, starting with the nineteenth century.[1]

19th Century[]

1859[]

  • September: The Rephaim arrive on Earth. Nashira Sargas persuades Lord Palmerston, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, that he needs to relinquish control of the country to them in order to prevent an Emite invasion. Palmerston agrees, but the rest of the country has no idea that this has happened.
  • The Rephaim reach an agreement with Palmerston that they will occupy the university city of Oxford and that clairvoyants will be delivered to them every ten years as a form of tribute.
  • A secret military unit is deployed to clear Oxford.
  • The first Bone Season begins.

1869[]

  • Bone Season II begins.

1879[]

1888[]

  • August: The Autumn of Terror begins in London after Nashira sends a red-jacket to find Emma Orson, who had been secretly released from Oxford by Arcturus Mesarthim and Terebell Sheratan. The red-jacket is a berserker and begins to brutally murder women in Whitechapel, starting with Mary Ann Nichols.
  • November: Marie Jeanette Kelly becomes the final victim of the red-jacket, who is now known as Jack the Ripper. Since Mary had also gone by the name Fair Emma, it was assumed that she and Emma Orson were one and the same. In punishment for apparently killing the dreamwalker, "Jack" is executed upon his return to Oxford and bound to Nashira as a fallen angel. Whitechapel's H Division is unable to identify the murderer.

  • Moments after his coronation, Edward VII is accused of being Jack the Ripper after "evidence" is found in his quarters. Edward will forever be known as the Bloody King.
  • A Republic of England is founded, led by Robert Gascoyne-Cecil, who declares an overriding mission for his new government: the destruction of "unnaturals" like the Bloody King. This mission is justified by the fact that Edward supposedly summoned evil spirits to perform the murders.

1902[]

1929[]

ScionIDE soldiers in the crowd open fire on the unarmed protestors, starting on Grafton Street, where Paige Mahoney is with Finn Mac Cárthaigh and his fiancee, Kayleigh Ní Dhornáin. Kayleigh is shot dead, causing Finn to charge a soldier. Paige survives the bloodbath by hiding under the statue of Molly Malone. This incident becomes known as the Imbolc Massacre and begins the Scion conquest of Ireland.
