The Gray Market is a clairvoyant trafficking ring founded by Jaxon Hall after he broke the terms of his release from Sheol I.
Description[]
In SciLo, the gray market specializes in procuring clairvoyants of interest and selling them to the Rephaim. While Nashira Sargas does accept clairvoyants from the market, she forces Jaxon to shut it down when he pledges himself to her service in late 2059. Other mime-lords and mime-queens are involved in the gray market in London. The most notorious are The Rag and Bone Man, Haymarket Hector, and The Abbess.
Upon returning from Sheol I, Paige Mahoney reveals the existence of the gray market to the syndicate and is able to shut it down. However, it is restarted by Jaxon and the Rag and Bone Man in the Scion Citadel of Paris. Two of the three grand ducs of the Paris syndicate, Le Nouveau Régime, Le Latronpuche and La Reine des Thunes, are part of the market. The grand ducs sell voyant fugitives who are wanted by Scion to the Rag and Bone Man. He then sells those fugitives to Scion officials, like a bounty hunter. Those officials can then choose to send the fugitives to Sheol II, and for a fee, Jaxon will let them take credit for their capture. Grand Inquisitor Georges Benoît Ménard is one of those officials.
